Directing duo Terri Timely offers a retro music video for Tame Impala’s “Lost in Yesterday.” This is the first video from the band’s upcoming album Slow running.
We are at the fifth post-Currents Tame Impala single and finally a music video has arrived. This makes the impending arrival of Kevin Parker’s fourth album all the more real.
In the clip, Parker removes the regular members of his band on stage. In their place are a group of backing musicians who support Parker in wedding singer mode. Time advances as the clip progresses. Several outfit changes occur to indicate how long Parker has been holding the Wedding Singer gig.

The slow race due out on Friday, February 14. This will be Tame Impala’s first album since 2015. Currents. This record catalyzed massive growth in the group’s global audience. Last year, Parker and co. headlined Coachella and Primavera festivals and played a much-loved Glastonbury set.
It’s been nearly a year since Tame Impala returned with the single “Patience.” It preceded the band’s performance on Saturday Night Livewhere they premiered the follow-up single “Borderline”. The slow race was announced in October 2019, coinciding with another single “It Might Be Time”.

An updated version of ‘Borderline’ will appear on the album, but ‘Patience’ will not. Another single, “Posthumous Forgiveness”, was released before “Lost in Yesterday”. It’s a candid look at Parker’s relationship with his late father.
Tame Impala will embark on their biggest Australian tour in April. Joining Tame Impala on all dates is Texas psych-groove trio Khruangbin.
