Jessica sutta is officially a married woman. On September 14, the former Pussycat Dolls singer married her longtime boyfriend Mikey Marquart in a romantic ceremony in Malibu, California.
The couple’s nuptials featured an array of sentimental touches such as the couple reciting their vows on top of a mountain overlooking the ocean and the Pacific. Their venue was decorated with 10,000 roses and featured cozy fireplaces and whimsical crystal chandeliers.
Sutta, who wore a Galia lahav blush pink ball gown, remembers the moment she walked down the aisle as unlike anything she has known before. “It was the most beautiful feeling that I can only describe as electric,” she says. The knot.
Marquart, drummer for the band Ambrose, had a similar feeling when he saw his future wife for the first time. “She was the most beautiful person I have ever seen,” he says.
The musicians worked with Julie Pryor from Pryor Events to bring their “fairytale dream wedding” to life. From all the personal touches added throughout the day, from the couple’s personalized wishes to their matching leather jackets they wore at the end of the night, it was that of the bride and groom sincere musical selections who held the most weight throughout the day.
“Our first dance was ‘I Get to Love You’ by Alley and it was performed live by Mikey’s sister Sam,” says Sutta. The sincere choice was the one the couple had decided long before the wedding. “We were driving to Big Bear one day and thought it would be fun to search for wedding songs on Spotify. It was the third song to come out and by the end we were both in tears and knew this song was completely us.
As the night continued, the guests danced to live music from the Jump Start group. “They were amazing and got everyone on the dance floor,” recalls Sutta. “There was a lot of Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, slow songs and classic rock.”
Thinking back to their romantic wedding, the couple, who got engaged in 2018, couldn’t have imagined a better day. “We were so lucky to have had a beautiful full moon that night too, which lit up the ocean and took our breath away,” Sutta says. “Overall we had the best night of our life.”
